Pocket universe

According to one theory, objects contain time. Thus, a bag of chips, an IKEA gingerbread cookie, a pen with a lantern, a full cap and illuminated stickers all preserve a story from the life of the person whose memory is connected to them. They embody a person. They make a mortal immortal. Moreover, over the years, these objects form a small world in memory. A pocket universe in which childhood and young adulthood, woven with all the beauty and problems of the years following the change of regime, swirl. In this world, the urban existence symbolizing independence and the idyllic nature that gathers in a place where it is still allowed to behave irresponsibly, complement each other. Downtown apartment children and seventh district theaters emerge between the July fruit picking and the night moths - like luminous stars in the dark matter of memory. Kemény Gabriella teaches us to remember in the midst of "forgetting as an adult". And all this with a single, timeless object the size of a palm: this volume. (Réka Borda)
