The Mask of Zorro - Blu-ray

Don Diego de la Vega (Academy Award winner* Anthony Hopkins), hiding behind the mask of the mysterious Zorro, successfully fights his one-man battle against the tyrannical governor, Don Rafael Montero, and Spanish rule, protecting the weak and vulnerable, and avenging the injustices he has suffered. But behind this invincible, invulnerable hero's costume is a flesh-and-blood man, whom the governor eventually corners and deprives of everything he lives for: his family and his freedom. He kills his wife, takes his daughter, and has himself imprisoned. By the time he manages to escape twenty years later, he is too old to put on the legendary Zorro mask again. However, the oppression is more cruel than ever, and the governor has darker plans in his mind than ever. However, by chance, he encounters a wayward Alejandro Murrieta (Antonio Banderas), in whom he sees his successor, who, after much study and long practice, can become his heir.
