Description
In the performance of Péter Rudolf, Animal Farm is actually a satire of the Stalinist era, but of course it is suitable for any oppressive, totalitarian system. The animals, led by the pigs, overthrow the rule of Man, and live their free, seemingly cheerful, then increasingly gloomy lives on the farm they manage. The motif of falsifying historical documents already plays a major role in this work of the author of 1984. The ideas of the animals' former ideologist, the Major, are retroactively changed and then forgotten, the great boar named Napoleon seizes power and - of course always with the appropriate ideological explanation - imposes an increasingly harsh dictatorship on his fellow animals. The initial slogan - All animals are equal - is interestingly modified: "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others". Total time: 220 minutes.
