The White King - DVD

12-year-old Djata lives with his parents, isolated from the world, in a dystopian dictatorship. One day, two agents come to their house, looking for his father. The government imprisons the man, and Djata is left alone with his mother, both of whom are immediately branded traitors. The boy has difficulty processing his father's abduction and absence, the many lies, and the burdens of suddenly becoming an adult. His only hope is to find his father, which his grandparents could help him with. However, Djata's mother defiantly resists asking for help from well-connected relatives, because the conflicts in the family do not subside despite the troubles...
